Backgrounds....

Ok, so as I've done this blog thing I've discovered that I really don't have all that much exciting to say. What I've enjoyed the very most is listening to my playlist, and changing my background pictures.
So... enjoy my latest background pic.

My goofy brother...

My brother and his family came down from Wyoming over New Years and he very sweetly brought me a present. I love my brother Clark, he's a good guy and he's got a great sense of humor (even if a bit irreverent at times).

Well as I was saying he got me a present, and picked it out special just for me. It was a long sleeved shirt... I was a bit confused until I saw the back! Totally funny! And since I'm not likely to actually WEAR it in public I thought I'd show it off here.... Enjoy.

Matt warned me that if I posted this you guys might think our family came from The South, since he doesn't know many brothers who would give a shirt like this to their sisters. But I figured, "Hey, there's no way to hide my disability... we might as well poke fun at it!"

A good read...

I've been diligently working on our friend's website, and after hours of photoshopping, color correcting, and sizing of 150 images... I discovered that they weren't working and I needed to change the sizing on ALL of them again. And of course when the re-size is done, they look terribly pixelated.. so... I have to do all 150 images again... from scratch. Duh. My fault of course, I didn't take the time to sketch out a plan and decided to 'wing it'. I'm sure many of you know what happens when you decide to 'wing' things... and it's not usually good.

So, needless to say, I needed a little break before I threw hissy fit all over the house. I decided to stop for a bit and read a little. My friend Jen had recommended a book for me called, "City of Bones" by Cassandra Clare. It's juvenile fiction (means it's for teenagers), so it was a nice easy read. I liked it a lot. If you like books with vampires, werewolves and such you will probably like this book. I liked it so much I've already reserved the sequel at the library. The fact that I finished this 485 page book in 2 days tells you it's a quick fun read.

Well now I'm finished with my little distraction... it's back to work. I'll just keep reminding myself that seeing Gerard Butler in High Definition is TOTALLY worth all the work. hehe.

Addendum to "Combat Boots" story...

My niece Arianne gave me yet another great reason for needing some Combat Boots. They would come in very handy if I ever needed to stomp some zombies.

How can Matt not see the necessity and logic behind such a purchase? Maybe I'll have to rent 28 Days Later again to remind him. Oooo... that would be a good one in HD...

Blu-Ray how I love thee...

Okay. So a friend of ours who owns a home theater company called me yesterday and offered to buy me a Blu-ray DVD player in trade for some work on his website. To which I replied, "Oh hell yeah!"

He came over tonight and hooked it all up with our surround sound and the sweet, sweet 50" plasma we got from him last year. And I swear I'm going to have kittens! Matt & I watched Transformers tonight for about the millionth time... only this time... it was so much more awesome! I noticed things that I hadn't really noticed before. I'll bet Brad Pitt will look amazing on this thing! Not to mention Gerard Butler, Christian Bale, I could go on, but I might hyperventilate so I'd better stop right there. So... now I can't wait to re-watch all of my favorite shows. I'm going to have to go fill up my Netflix queue with all the Fav's so I can get the full movie effect. Sweeeeeet!

I can't wait to have Arianne & Troy and Ashleigh come over for movie nights! We will par-tay! Cha cha cha cha cha cha!

Tomorrow night... The Dark Knight, and coming soon... Hellboy II. Aaaah.. sweet, sweet High Definition, how did I ever get along for so long without you?
